From 1574, year when the "Santa Casa de Paz y Misericordia (Holy House of Peace and Mercy) Brotherhood was created, this Brotherhood has always organised the Holy Week religious events in Baiona. Thus, the Brotherhood's antique traditions make an extraordinary rite from those religious celebrations. Maundy Thursday witnesses a procession where traditional pasos are carried and people act representing Jesus Christ's Calvary. On Good Friday hooded Brothers walk along with the Prostrate Christ. Worship and solemnity imbue the Holy Week celebrations in Baiona.
